Acer Aspire 5630 is a modest economic laptop but its lack of configuration selections makes it hard to suggest over the mainstream contest.
Unlike some budget models, the 6.2-pound Aspire 5630 has an excellent screen. With a 1,280x800 native resolution, the 15.4-inch wide-screen LCD displays bright, sharp images and smooth DVD playback. A few cool Acer software utilities, including one that splits the screen into multiple windows, add to the panel's appeal.As for multimedia features. The Aspire 5630 offers a relatively solid configuration for an under-$l,000 notebook, with a 1.6GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5200 processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, and a roomy 120GB hard drive. It's worth noting, however, that several mainstream vendors sell notebooks with the same features for up to $100 less. Plus, unlike this Aspire, these models are configurable.
