Lenovo ThinkPad T60 Widescreen

CONS Could benefit from a FireWire port amd a memory card reader.

How that Dell and Hp have added widescreens to nearly all of their business notebooks, Lenovo has followed suit with one of its best-selling laptops. Lenovo has kept its ThinkPad T60 Widesereen's weight down; at 5.7 pounds it's lighter than the Dell Latitude 0820 (6.5 pounds) and the HP Compaq nc8430 (6.2 pounds), and it's nearly as svelte as the Apple MaeBook Pro 15-inch (Core 2 Duo), which weighs 5.5 pounds. The T60 Widesereen sports a 1.2-inch-thick chassis.
The T60 Widesereen's performance doesn't disappoint. With a 2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 processor. 1GB of RAM and discrete ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 graphics, it's ready for Windows Vista Premium. The T60'S 56-Wh battery lasted 4 hours 8 minutes on the MobileMark 2005 test. For another $30, you can get the 84-Wh battery, which lasts 6:26 but increases the system's weight to 6.2 pounds. Workaholics who pride themselves on multitasking will find a lot to like about the Lenovo ThinkPad T60 Widesereen. If you're looking for a bigger display in a business notebook, you'll appreciate the T60 Widesereen's combo of extra screen space and a lightweight frame.
