Nikon D2H digital cameraBut what can 4MP offer? It's good enough for newsprint, and this camera is aimed at news and sports photographers. They could use the optional Wi-Fi adapter and have their photos at a news desk in seconds. It boasts upto 9fps in high-speed mode, or customised settings of l-7 fps in low-speed mode. Nikon digital camera buffercan hold upto 50 JPEGs, enough to maintain a fairly constant burst. Nikon digital camera has a single card slot, accepting CF cards and Microdrive. As well as JPEG, other formats are supported including Nikon Electronic Files (NEF), Nikon's raw format. The camera gives you the option of shooting in TIFF, as well as a choice of RAW + JPEG options. The camera works best with CPU-type lenses, ideally type G or D to maintain full functionality. It has the new 3D Colour Matrix II which uses a 1005-pixel RGB sensor and sets the exposure on a variety of information across the entire frame. Among the information analysed is colour and distance.
This is a camera built to last - it can with-stand temperatures of 0-40°C.While a heavy camera, it's well balanced even with big lenses, and holds very well. For portrait-format shooting, there 's a secondary shutter release button bottom right, accompanied by front and rear command dials to rapidly change camera settings while you shoot. Depended upon to provide comprehensive informa-tion while you shoot. Meanwhile, the back plate has the 2.5in LCD,with menu access and image playback. The menu can seem somevvhat complicated on initial set-up,witha plethora of options, but this is generally expected on pro model DSLRs. A fast camera needs a fast and accurate AF system. The D2Hs uses Nikon's Multi-Cam2000 modulle, with single-area AF, dynamic AF, group dynamic AF and dynamic area AF, with elosest subject focusing. The white balance uses the 1005-pixel metering sensor in auto mode, along with 5 preset manual modes with fine tuning, and a manual mode. Further image control is set by a range of sharp-ening,contrast and colour modes, including twos RGB options and Adobe RGB.
Dynamic range is very good, with good shadow and highlight detail. Contrasty images cause problems, with highlights blowing, but that's to be expected. Colour too is excellent, witn the benefits of the 3D colour matrix metering showing through. Noise is good too: the large pixel pitch seems to be a benefit, with even the higher ISO images remarkably noisefree. The Noise Reductior option workswellat ISO 1600. Nikon D2Hs digital camera is fast, furious and fun to handle, and is backed by a complete professional system. As good as the camera is, it is still only 4MP.If you're a Nikon user and need a fast, reliable camera, the D2Hs maybe right up your street.
